Currugations
From Staniel Cay we sailed north and spent a couple of lovely days in Normans Cay where I got the drone up and captured the corrugations in the sand. Its lovely to drift over them when snorkeling for its like flying over a mountain range in some kind of sci fi film. There's a channel to the right of the picture which I call Barracuda alley for its full of them. One of which was about five foot long and had a body that was as thick as my thigh. I find them quite off-putting, particularly when they get aggressive and shoot right up to a couple of inches from my mask with their jaws wide open.

VIKING RAID
From Little Farmers we returned to Staniel for one of our Viking Raids. Given that we like remote anchorages we treat busy places like a raid and hit the beach with a list to be ticked off as quickly as possible. Communications, food, Propane, rubbish and of course laundry. Staniels Laundry is rather nice for it has a bar in it!!

LOBSTER HUNTING
The next morning Eric took me out for my lobster lesson and he was amazing. I followed him about and soon started to pick up what drew him in and look at the result. I have to say I love foraging to feed us and seem to be getting better by the day with fish and now Lobster on the menu. The BBQ is getting more and more use these days.

Little Farmers cay
Having dropped off Stu for his flight out - the airport in Staniel is a fifty metre walk from the beach! We set sail for Little Farmers Cay to experience their annual regatta which was amazing. The racing is on local boats and very competitive with each island putting up their best boat and crew.

BEACH
I think this is the loveliest beach that we have seen to date and its on the east side of Compass Cay. Its family owned and you can tell its loved for it is immaculate with well-tended paths and lots of planting. During our walk we bumped into Eric and Doreen and in conversation discovered that he is an avid Lobster fisherman. Being the big-hearted man that he is he offered to teach me the game and show me one of his secret spots. Lessons started there and then with maps drawn in the sand explaining what to look for in terms of shelter, nutrient carrying currents and feeding grounds.
