The Bahamas
We have arrived in Palm Cay Marina Nassau in perfect time for there's a fair old wind blowing from the north. This has dropped the temperature and its oddly nice to be using a blanket at night.
Its hard to describe how lovely the Exumas have been. Every Cay has had its standout feature and the people are lovely.
On the west side of the Cays the water is shallow but sheltered so sailing is smooth with a lot of eyeball navigation with coral heads standing out against the white sand.
One of the outstanding features has been the wildlife with amazing snorkelling. Turtles, rays, sharks, coral, barracuda and loads of tropical fish.
We even had one of Pablo Escobar's drug planes which had ditched in shallow water.
I will leave it to some pictures to give you a better flavour of the trip which was made all the better for having our daughter Livvy and boyfriend Adam with us.

name
There is a tradition here whereby you put your boats name on the beach and take a picture from the monument from the hill above. A fun day with Adam and Livvy which has included a new anchorage, walk, snorkel and an afternoon of beer, music, wine and cheese.
